1.) Are you a morning person or more of a night owl?
I'm nocturnal mostly- so a night owl I suppose.
2.) What’s the first thing you notice about a person when you meet them?
Temperament and if they could hypothetically overpower me.
3.) You see a huge spider in your room. What do you do?
Catch it, let it outside... Maybe give it to scout if he's been bothering me.
4.) If you could go back and change one decision you made in the past, what would you change?
... skip, can I do that? (No.) Hm... I would've never mentioned my parents to my school friends.
5.) Tell me about your first kiss.
You could argue that it didn't count- but it was with a boy who knew he was dying, a friend of mine, he thought dying before having your first kiss was "looser behavior" which I think is stupid but... its irrelevant.
6.) Do you give people second chances?
Depends heavily on what they did.
7.) Are you a cat person or a dog person?
Neither.
8.) Do you think you’re attractive?
Statistically everyone will have someone find them attractive at some point.
9.) What’s your worst habit?
Picking at my fur when I'm nervous... which is most of the time.
10.) When was the last time you cried?
What kind of cry? If you're counting onion cutting- then this morning.
11.) Are you a good liar?
I don't know, am I? Do you think I've lied to you so far? I have. Or maybe that's a lie?
12.) What’s your biggest pet peeve?
People who are needlessly loud- my ears aren't just for show, unfortunately.
13.) Have you ever had your heart broken?
Not in the way you mean.
14.) Are you more likely to use your fists or your words in an argument?
I'm not fond of arguments, and trying to explain myself is usually a waste of time, so neither I suppose.
15.) What’s something you’re naturally good at?
Painting
16.) What’s something you had to work hard to be good at?
Writing in english. My handwriting is still mostly illedgible.
17.) Can you tell when someone is flirting with you?
No.
18.) Do you think money can buy happiness?
Money can't buy happiness the feeling, but it can remove many stresses that will impede someone from being happy.
19.) Do you believe in destiny?
No.
20.) Are you a good cook?
I like to think so, but *someone* has been spreading rumours that I've been feeding them human meat! As though I'd waste something so precious on the unaware.
21.) What do you think happens after you die?
I think your cells die, and your being ceases to be.
22.) Did you have to grow up fast?
In a sense.
23.) Who do you look up to?
My own reasoning.

Not particularly, I have exactly two outfits for a reason.

Love, I can think of exactly two people who I enjoy more than my own company (who?) I'm not telling.

... No comment.
36.) Do you admit to mistakes when you make them?
Of cource, denying it is a waste of everyone's time.
37.) Do you want to grow up to be like your parents?
I don't know really, I certainly have become the people who raised me, not that I mind. After all I'm fine aren't I?
38.) How do you deal with being sick? Are you stoic, or super whiny?
The world doesn't stop moving just because I don't feel good, and if I bitched and moaned any time I felt under the weather nothing would ever get done.

Chemist, birth name Dmytro, was born to young parents in a small town in the southernmost part of the Northwest Territories, just off its border to Alberta. His early childhood was relatively typical, they were extremely poor, with him and his parents living with his grandparents in a tiny studio apartment, with his father being the only one able to work and his grandparents meager pensions money was tight, but they scraped by. Until he mentioned his living situation to one of his friends, talking excitedly about how his father had gotten a raise, which means he could get cake mix for his birthday. Which led to him taliking about him sharing a "room" with his parents and grandparents with a teacher in earshot. This led to his family getting investigated for child abuse, and Dmytro being taken into foster care due to his parents being "unfit" to raise him.
He didn't spend long in the group home, quickly being placed with a "family"
A family they did not screen as well as they should have, seeing as it wasn't a family at all, it was the outermost layer of a human traficking ring, carefully pulling kids from the foster care system and selling them to the highest bidder after the child agreed to live with them permanently. In Dmytro's case he was sold to a private research company trying to create superhuman hybrids by grafing on various limbs and apendages with the desired effects.
The overwhelming majority of these experiments failed, and the children returned to their various "homes" after suffering various "accidents"
Dmytro was a case where the grafting was mostly a success, first attaching a pair of fully articulated hare ears, as well as removing his original human ears. Then a small tail to improve his balance, and finally they used an advanced form of body modification to alter the way his legs were shaped and moved, creating his paws and then grafting dense red fur over them to hide the heavy scarring that was caused by the process. In the process his ankles and knees were permanently damaged, leaving him with extreme chronic pain even long after he was made free.
Under the care of the facility, and deemed important due to his status as a succesful experiment, he was one of few children in the facility to recieve an education. Learning gradually to read and write in english, where prior he could speak only ukranian and what little english he had learned before he was seperated from his parents.
He was eventually dubbed "unfit" for the militant program he was originally to be enlisted in as the first successful hybrid on account of his rapidly degrading joints, but due to his visibly inhuman nature he was unable to be let properly free. Instead he was allowed to attend an online school where he would eventually earn his organic chemistry PhD, as well as enough english to be able to hold casual conversation.
Shortly after he recieved his PhD, he was hired officially by the research facility(under thread of execution if he refused) to continue the research that had been started on him as a teenager.
He found himself in a unique position, loath as he was to admit it, he was *very* interested in the research that had left him with permanently damaged joints and his sharp hearing. While also being acutely aware that the things he would have to do would be extremely painful at best, and lead to the deaths of the majority of his test subjects.
Fortunately (or perhaps unfortunately) it did not take long for him to learn of his affinitry for viscera and gore, as well as his taste for human meat. After all it's not like the higher ups in the facility care what happens to the bodies, as long as it happens "off stage" where the company won't get in trouble... So who *really* cares if he *occasionally* collects muscle tissue off his failed experiments, its not hurting anyone, really.
Dr. Kimak was 30 years old when he was contacted by Miss Pauling, or more accuratly, the research faclity he was employed to was contacted by her, and supposedly threatened, since they gave up one of their lead researchers with very little fanfare or planning.
And so, summer 1967 Dr. Kimak, now known as The Chemist was transported from his home to The Badlands, New Mexico.
Off the bat he was having a bad time, between the suffocating heat of new mexico, and being outside without an armed chaperone (well, he was with Miss Pauling, but he didn't know her as anything more that just the woman sent to collect him and take him to his new home.) he was stressed and tired, and as medic would find out after following him to his lab in hopes of discussing the Uberheart surgery, bitey.
Gradually though most of the mercs warmed up to him, as did he to them, with one exception, Spy. There's no real reason for the men to hate each other as much as they do, but they do none the less.
Medic and Sniper in particular ended up becoming his closest friends. Following the bite of '68 (and an apology cookie delivered to the medbay a few days later) Medic and Chemist found themselves with much to discuss, from Chemist's unique anatomy to their mutually skewed moral compass, its unsurprising that the pair became fast friends. It eventually became obvious to everone but the pain involved that their relationship had advanced far past what most sane people would consider to be friendly, but as far as they're concerned, they're just good friends. (Who routinely preform experiments on each other, and medic being able to leave Chemist's lab without being sent to respawn.)
Sniper on the other hand was much, much slower. Meeting initially when they were both dragged into attending an Obligatory Celebration. Which led to them hiding in the same corner booth, bonding over how badly they wanted to be at home.
That also was the *only* time they spoke. With Chemist hidden away in his lab and Sniper in his camper, besided the occasional wave in passing they didn't otherwise interact.
Slowly though, as they were forced into more and more Obligatory Celebrations they did become friends, with Chemist eventually having what would be the first of many breakdowns over the fact that not only was he definitely gay (a reality he has not yet come to terms with), but ridiculously and insanely in love with his coworker.
Sniper on the other hand, is pointedly ignoring the way he feels about Chemist, they're both predending everything is fine and normal and its really not working but they'll cross that bridge when one of them gets it together enough to say something.
Scout ~ Discomfort, gets awful uncanny valley feeling from Chemist's smile
Soldier ~ Doesn't like that he unamerican, calls him a bunny despite being repeatedly corrected that he's a hare
Pyro ~ positive, gives them chemicals to make their fire fun colours
Demo ~ negative, his lack of lab saftey freaks him out, doesn't have any respect for the chemicals he works with
Heavy ~ neutral, they had an interesting conversation about the differences between ukranian and russian as lanquages and they havent spoken since
Engie ~ neutral/positive, could probably be his friend if either of them stopped working long enough
Medic ~ very positive, a very close friend and a valued second opinion, cares about him more than he thinks.
Sniper ~ very positive, intentionally ignoring all non platonic feelings
Spy ~ negative?
Scout ~ Little shit needs to stay out of his lab, and ideally out of his hair in general (but if he wasn't a nusiance it wouldnt be scout)
Soldier ~ negative, his ears are sensitive and the yelling very quickly gives him a headache
Pyro ~ positive, likes how happy simple things make them, its nice to be impressive
Demo ~ neutral, could totally make his explosives better, but they dont see eye to eye on their methods
Heavy ~ neutral, would be content to talk to him more if he ever came by the lab.
Engie ~ positive, finds engineering interesting and would love to talk theory some time, will not intiate the interaction.
Medic ~ very postive, still feels a little bad about biting him. Has one of two keys to Chemist's lab, and is the only person to see inside his room.
Sniper ~ very positive, somewhat routinely freaks himself out thinking about just how much he cares for sniper
Spy ~ very negative, thinks he's so far up his own ass he should be inside out by now.
